Last question, given the huge success of D2R Items World of Warcraft and now of Classic Are there any plans to play on consoles in World of Warcraft? When it was first released, there weren’t many successful MMOs for consoles. However, today it’s Final Fantasy XIV and a couple of other games. It’s a great time to try and explore this possibility. Is it something you’re interested in?
It’s a great question. To me, when it comes to gaming, the camera and the controls are essential to any type gameplay experience. What are the cameras? What are the controls? If I think of World of Warcraft, it was really designed for a keyboard and a mouse experience.
If you take a look at the amount of abilities you have, for instance, classes are 50 at 60–if you look at the amount of items you’ve got in your inventory as well as how the UI works, like it’s designed to be the keyboard experience.
I believe that the excitement for Classic and the excitement for alternative platforms that support Diablo is a sign that people are fascinated by the world, people are interested in the gameplay. We’ve been discussing this on and off honestly for over a decade. Personally, I believe that when we suggested that we make an effort that implemented some simplifications to classes and we cut down on some of the capabilities and also reworked many of the ways the inventory works I can envision that could be a success. I do think it’s a little bit of a different game, but is it?
Because we consider how you want the pace of battle to play out and how you want your controls to work. It’s a slightly different for a console gamer, but it is something we’ve discussed for sure.Diablo, a game millions of gamers had been begging to buy D2R Ladder Items play for over 10 years.
